What is a Madhatter?
To understand the reason we have chosen to be called the Madhatters and to even slightly begin to contemplate our mission, there are a few terms you must understand:
Hatter, n. (hat’-ter)
from The Dictionary of Rachel, exists only in the mind of Rachel.
Some one that dons many hats. ie. a hat collector, the village people, and the average woman.Mad, adjective
excerpt from dictionary.com
1. mentally disturbed; deranged; insane; demented.
2. enraged; greatly provoked or irritated; angry.
3. extremely foolish or unwise; imprudent; irrational: a madscheme to invade France.
4. wildly excited or confused; frantic: mad haste.
We, The Madhatters, are wives, mothers, artists, workers, volunteers, dreamers, and more. We understand how life can overwhelm and overtake you. The constant switching of hats can leave you (and us) feeling drained, lost and even mad*, especially when we forget to wear the hats of our own true voice. (Wouldn’t that be a fun project?) Our mission is to remind you that you have a voice, to teach you how to listen to that voice, and to inspire you to care and nurture your own inner voice.
